1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Taallam website, mobile application, courses, community spaces, and related services (the “Platform”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using Taallam, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Operator

Taallam is operated by ToRead Global LLC, with support from ToRead SARL where relevant.

3. Eligibility

Taallam is available to users worldwide.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. If you are under 18, you may use the Platform only with the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian, where required by applicable law.

You agree that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

4. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account.

You are responsible for:

• maintaining the confidentiality of your password;
• restricting access to your account;
• all activity that happens under your account.

You may not:

• share your password;
• let another person use your account;
• create false or misleading accounts;
• impersonate another person or organization.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Platform Features

Taallam may include:

• free and paid courses;
• community groups and forums;
• public and semi-public user profiles;
• private messaging;
• comments and activity feeds;
• assignments, quizzes, certificates, badges, and progress tracking;
• file, image, video, and content uploads;
• mobile app features and push notifications.

We may update, modify, limit, pause, or discontinue any feature at any time.

6. Paid Courses and Pricing

Taallam offers both free and paid content. Paid courses are currently sold on a one-time payment basis.

Prices may change at any time for future purchases. Price changes do not affect a course already purchased unless clearly stated otherwise.

We may offer discounts, promotional offers, or free trials from time to time. These may be subject to separate conditions.

7. Payments

Payments may be processed through third-party providers, including:

• Stripe;
• PayPal;
• local transfer methods in Lebanon.

By making a purchase, you agree to provide valid payment information and authorize the payment processor to process it.

We are not responsible for errors caused by third-party payment providers.

8. Refund Policy

Refunds may be granted only if:

• The refund request is made within 7 days of purchase, and
• the course has been completed by less than 10%.

Refund requests should be sent to refund@taallam.com.

We may refuse refunds that do not meet these conditions or where abuse, fraud, or misuse is suspected.

9. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Taallam name, logo, platform content, website content, mobile app content, design, branding, and course materials are owned by ToRead Global LLC and ToRead SARL or licensed to them.

All course content, including content delivered by instructors through Taallam, is owned by or assigned to ToRead as applicable.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, resell, republish, scrape, record, or exploit any part of the Platform or course content without prior written permission.

Course content is provided for your personal learning use only.

10. User Content

You may be able to upload, post, submit, send, or share content on Taallam, including:

• profile information;
• comments and posts;
• messages;
• files, assignments, videos, and images;
• group or forum content.

You remain responsible for the content you submit.

By posting or uploading content to Taallam, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, adapt, and use that content as needed to operate, improve, promote, and provide the Platform.

You confirm that:

• you own the content you submit or have the right to share it;
• your content does not infringe the rights of others;
• your content complies with these Terms and our Community Guidelines.

11. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use Taallam to:

• harass, threaten, abuse, or harm others;
• post hate speech, discriminatory content, or unlawful material;
• create fake accounts or impersonate others;
• spam, scam, or mislead users;
• upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful files;
• cheat in quizzes, assignments, or certifications;
• violate copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights;
• scrape, copy, extract, or mine platform data;
• share paid content outside the Platform;
• interfere with security, operations, or access controls;
• use the Platform for illegal or unauthorized purposes.

12. Community Moderation

We may review, remove, restrict, or delete content or accounts that violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, applicable law, or the safety of the Platform.

We are not required to monitor all user activity, but we may take action whenever needed.

13. Instructors and Partners

Some courses or programs may be delivered with instructors or partner organizations. Where a course is clearly presented as being in partnership with another organization, relevant participant information may be shared as needed to operate that course or program.

Instructors may access learner information necessary to manage teaching, participation, and completion.

14. Mobile App Terms

If you use the Taallam mobile app:

• these Terms also apply to your use of the app;
• app store providers may have their own terms that also apply;
• you are responsible for device, network, and data charges;
• push notifications may be used for learning, community, and service updates.

Your use of app permissions such as camera, microphone, photo library, or storage is subject to your device settings and the app features you choose to use.

15. Termination or Suspension

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access to the Platform at any time if:

• you violate these Terms;
• you misuse the Platform;
• your conduct creates legal, security, or community risk;
• we are required to do so by law.

You may stop using Taallam at any time. Deleting your account does not automatically entitle you to a refund.

16. Service Availability

We work to keep Taallam available and functional, but we do not guarantee that the Platform will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.

Features, content, instructors, courses, and community functions may change, pause, or become unavailable at any time.

17. Disclaimer

Taallam and all content and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of:

• merchantability;
• fitness for a particular purpose;
• non-infringement;
• uninterrupted availability.

We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes, business results, or employment outcomes.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ToRead Global LLC, ToRead SARL, their affiliates, officers, employees, instructors, partners, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of Taallam.

Our total liability for any claim relating to paid services will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the relevant course or service giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

19. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ToRead Global LLC, ToRead SARL, their affiliates, team members, instructors, partners, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from:

• your use of the Platform;
• your violation of these Terms;
• your content;
• your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

20. Privacy

Your use of Taallam is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

21. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, without regard to conflict of laws rules.

If a dispute arises, the parties agree to first try to resolve it informally and in good faith by contacting:

If the dispute is not resolved informally, either party may bring the matter before the competent courts of Lebanon, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on the Platform and revise the “Last Updated” date.

Your continued use of Taallam after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.

Taallam is a learning and community platform operated by ToRead Global LLC, with support from ToRead SARL where relevant. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal data when you use the Taallam website, mobile application, courses, community spaces, and related services (together, the “Platform”).

By using Taallam, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

• the Taallam website;
• the Taallam mobile app;
• community features powered by third-party;
• learning features powered by third-party;
• paid and free courses, groups, messaging, profiles, and related services.

4. The Data We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal data:

A. Information you provide directly

• full name;
• email address;
• phone number;
• profile photo;
• bio;
• country;
• login credentials;
• billing and payment details;
• messages you send through the Platform;
• comments, posts, uploads, assignments, files, photos, videos, and other content you submit;
• course enrollments, quiz answers, assignments, certificates, badges, and progress information.

B. Information collected automatically

• IP address;
• browser type;
• device type;
• operating system;
• app usage data;
• cookies and similar technologies;
• log data;
• pages visited and actions taken on the Platform.

C. Mobile app data

If you use the Taallam mobile app, we may also collect:

• push notification token;
• device identifier;
• app performance and diagnostic information;
• access to camera, microphone, photo library, and device storage when you choose to use features that require them.

We do not request access to these device features unless needed for Platform functionality.

D. Information from third parties

We may receive data from:

• payment processors;
• social login providers such as Google, Facebook, and Apple;
• analytics providers;
• instructors, program partners, or organizations connected to specific courses or programs.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use personal data to:

• create and manage user accounts;
• provide access to courses, content, and community features;

• manage enrollments, assignments, quizzes, certifications, and progress tracking;
• enable messaging, groups, comments, forums, and user profiles;

• operate partner-supported courses and programs.

7. Community and Profile Visibility

Taallam includes community features such as profiles, groups, forums, comments, messaging, and activity feeds.

• content you post in public or group spaces may be visible to others in those spaces;
• instructors, community managers, admins, and relevant program partners may be able to view information connected to your participation.

You are responsible for the information you choose to share publicly or within community spaces.

8. Courses, Instructors, and Program Partners

Some courses are created by Taallam and some may be delivered with instructors or partner organizations.

If you join a course or program that is clearly marked as being run in partnership with another organization, we may share relevant information with that partner as needed to operate the course or program, including:

• your name;
• contact details;
• enrollment status;
• participation data;
• progress or completion status;
• certificates or related learning records.

Instructors may also access relevant learner information needed to deliver courses and support participants.

9. Payments

Taallam offers both free and paid content. Paid courses may be purchased through one-time payments using third-party payment providers, including:

• Stripe;
• PayPal;
• local transfer options in Lebanon.

We do not store full payment card information on our own systems unless specifically stated at the point of payment. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers subject to their own privacy and security practices.

10. Marketing Communications

We may sometimes send newsletters, updates, or promotional messages.

You can opt out of promotional communications by:

• clicking the unsubscribe link in the message, where available; or
• contacting us at legal@toreadglobal.com.

Even if you opt out of promotional messages, we may still send service-related emails, including account, payment, legal, security, and course-related notices.

11. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar tools to:

• keep you logged in;
• remember preferences;
• improve performance;
• understand usage;
• support analytics and core Platform features.

Because Taallam is built using some third-party licenses and tools, some cookies are necessary for account login, security, learning functions, and community features.

Where required by law, we will present a cookie notice or consent tool. You can also control cookies through your browser or device settings, but some Platform features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

12. Analytics and Third-Party Tools

We may use analytics and related tools, including:

• internal data analytics tools;
• Firebase;
• social login providers such as Google, Facebook, and Apple.

In the future, we may also use email marketing or communication tools. If we do, we may update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

Third-party services may process data under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies when using their services through Taallam.

13. Sharing of Personal Data

We may share personal data with:

• secure hosting and infrastructure providers;
• payment service providers;
• analytics and technical service providers;
• instructors;
• community managers and administrators;
• partner organizations connected to specific programs or courses;

We do not sell your personal data.

14. International Data Transfers

Taallam is available internationally, with a main audience in the Middle East and North Africa. Your information may be processed or stored outside your country of residence.

By using the Platform, you understand that your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Where required, we take reasonable steps to protect transferred data.

15. Data Retention

We keep personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• maintain your account;
• provide the Platform and courses;
• comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations;
• resolve disputes;
• enforce agreements;
• maintain security and business records.

When data is no longer needed, we may delete it, anonymize it, or retain limited records where required for legal or operational reasons.

You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at legal@toreadglobal.com. In some cases, you may also remove content or account information directly through the Platform.

Deleting an account may remove access to:

• purchased courses;
• certificates;
• messages;
• community participation history;
• saved progress and other account-related records.

18. Children’s Privacy

Taallam is not intended for children under the age of 13.

If you are under 18, you should use Taallam only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child in violation of applicable law, we may suspend or delete the account and remove associated data where appropriate.

Parents or guardians who believe that a child has provided us with personal data may contact us at legal@toreadglobal.com.

19. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect personal data, including secure hosting and access controls.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

20. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, tools, payment providers, or social login services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies.

21. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on the Platform and update the “Last Updated” date.

Your continued use of Taallam after changes take effect means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
